Mathematical Concepts

Represent various money amounts using these realistic images of Canadian coins and bills.
Use this tool to:
  • estimate and count a collection of money
  • skip count using the value of one of the coins or bills
  • represent relationships between coins and bills (E.g., There are 8 quarters in a toonie.)
  • add and subtract money amounts by making simulated purchases and providing change
  • explore place value and unit conversions

The cash drawer multiplier and multi-select copy features support students in
demonstrating multiplicative thinking and using anchor values of 2,5, and 10.
